Our client has an immediate vacancy for an enthusiastic and dynamic Assistant Geotechnical Engineer to join their vibrant team in West Yorkshire.
Key responsibilities / Duties will include:
Geotechnical and geo-environmental data assessment, analysis and reporting.
Field sampling and monitoring.
Supervising and monitoring earthworks, construction and stabilisation projects.
Ground investigation procurement, supervision, management and reporting.
Phase 1 land instability and contaminated land desk studies.
Capabilities and Qualifications:
1-2 years' industry experience
Degree in either Geotechnics, Geology, Civil Engineering with modules in Soil Mechanics or Environmental Science with Geology and Maths modules.
Soil and rock logging
Knowledge and interest of contaminated land and remediation
Computer literacy in MS Office suite and ideally settlement and slope stability analysis software.
